The outline Programme includes presentations, discussions and live Ultrasound scanning demonstration for diagnosis of and application of Point of Care Rheumatology Ultrasound (POCRUS) in the following conditions:

Professor Dasgupta is a foremost exponent on giant cell arteritis, polymyalgia rheumatica, large vessel vasculitis and expert on vascular and MSK ultrasound. His fast track GCA path-way was awarded BSR Best Practice Award. He has been Head of Rheumatology at Southend University Hospital and holds professorships at Queen Mary London and Essex universities, as well as ARU.
Dr Richard Wakefield is Senior Lecturer in Rheumatology at the University of Leeds and an Honorary Consultant Rheumatologist at Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust.
Dr Asim Khurshid is consultant rheumatologist working at University Hospitals Dorset Foundation trust since 2013.
Associate professor and rheumatology consultant chapel Allerton hospital with an interest in two related diseases, giant cell arteritis (GCA) and polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR).
Professor of Rheumatology at the Cardiff Institute of Infection & Immunity. He is also Honorary Consultant Rheumatologist at University Hospital of Wales and Clinical Lead of the Welsh Arthritis Research Network (WARN). His major research interest is the treatment of rheumatic diseases focusing on the efficacy of new treatment strategies.
Associate Professor at University of Oxford, her research is clinical and focuses on psoriatic arthritis and the spondylarthritis’s including early diagnosis of PsA, development of PsA specific and validated outcome measures, optimal treatment pathways and strategies in PsA.
Rheumatology Consultant & Academic King’s College Hospital & King’s College London. She is a Consultant Rheumatologist at Kings’ College Hospital and Reader in Rheumatology and Medical Education within the School of Immunology & Microbial Sciences and the Centre for Education at King’s College London. Her clinical and research focus is on inflammatory arthritis, multi-morbidity and long-term outcomes of disease.
Geraldine McCarthy MD, FRCPI Consultant Rheumatologist Mater Misericordiae University Hospital Dublin and Clinical Professor of Medicine University College Dublin.
Christian Dejaco, MD, PhD, MBA is a consultant and Associate Professor at the Department of Rheumatology of the Medical University of Graz. He is the chair of the scientific section of the Austria society of rheumatology, a member of the EULAR Standing Committee on Muscu-loskeletal Imaging and the EMEUNET country liaison for Austria. The research interests of Dr. Dejaco include giant cell arteritis and polymyalgia rheumatica, the applications of ultrasound in rheumatic diseases as well as the relevance of senescent T-cells in rheumatic diseases.
Prof. Ng is the Director of the Clinical Research Facility. He is a consultant rheumatologist with globally recognised expertise and is a key opinion leader in Sjögren’s syndrome and fatigue research.
