Physiotherapist

Experienced Independent Consultant Pelvic Health Physiotherapist with a demonstrated history of advanced clinical and educational practice in the service delivery of pelvic health physiotherapy. Over my extensive career I have served on the Council of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, helping to map the future of the profession. Having qualified in the early 1970s with a Graduate Diploma of Physiotherapy from The University of Manchester I have worked in both the NHS and private sector. In 2012 I was awarded a Fellowship of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy for my services to pelvic health and the profession. Since 2004 I have been teaching real-time ultrasound scanning of the pelvic floor complex to practitioners wishing to extend their scope of practice, enabling them to assess and analyse pelvic floor function and dysfunction. Currently I am a trustee of Pelvic Obstetric Gynaecological Physiotherapy, a professional network for specialist physiotherapists, and am the chair of their Education Subcommittee.
