<p><b>Course Objectives</b><b></b></p>
<ul>
<li>Deliver a grounding in essential physical principles of ultrasound.</li>
<li>Learn the controls of a scanner and how to optimise an ultrasound image.</li>
<li>Identify the anatomy of the lower limb on ultrasound.</li>
<li>Receive instruction on probe handling and patient positioning to obtain ultrasound images of key target structures.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>What&#8217;s Included?</b><b></b></p>
<ul>
<li>Each delegate has their own POD Toolbox for the duration of the course. This contains a GE Vscan Air CL ultrasound system and gel phantom. Ultrasound gel and wipes are also included.</li>
<li>4 x weekly 2hr live teaching sessions with lectures, demonstrations, and interactive guided scanning practice.</li>
<li>Weekly homework assignment with feedback to guide practice.</li>
<li>All sessions are recorded and delegates have access to the videos for 4 weeks after the end of the course</li>
<li>CPD certificate upon completion.</li>

<p>This course is accredited through the Royal College of Physicians (RCP); Part 1 and Part 2 required</p>
<p><strong>Course Objectives</strong></p>

<li>For learners to understand the physics of ultrasound.</li>
<li>For learners to understand the core functions of ultrasound probe handling.</li>
<li>For learners to be able to optimise the image on an ultrasound system.For learners to be able to apply ultrasound imaging in a rigorous standardised manner within daily practice to rapidly answer the 14 clinically relevant questions (see course description.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What&#8217;s Included?</strong></p>
<ul class="product-info">
<li>4 Sessions of remote guided practice and one day face to face-to-face practical to refine the technique.</li>
<li>Each delegate has their own POD box for the duration of the course. This contains an ultrasound transducer, tablet, and gel phantom. Ultrasound gel and wipes are also included.</li>
<li>4 x weekly 2-hour live teaching sessions with lectures, demonstrations and interactive guided scanning practice.</li>
<li>Weekly homework assignments with feedback to progressively develop technique.</li>
<li>One full-day face-to-face session with a good ratio of students to faculty for practising the scan techniques in preparation for supervised application in clinical practice.</li>
